Exquisite iris, all flowering for the first time since I acquired them from divisions made at work in fall of '05, have been a thrill, blooming in kind of a succession so I can individually enjoy each one.
The flowers of Iris pseudacorus, however, are not pretty enough to allow the plant to block the spirea this way. There are seedlings of my beloved Nigella damascena at their feet so I will allow those to bloom before attempting a move. But the pseudacorus must go.
Lovely and satisfyingly compact Digitalis lamarckii just began blooming and I hope it throws some seed around once it's finished to add to the confusion of sorting out my multiple self sowers.
Spiky Echinops 'Arctic Glow' just started budding and I'm quite excited.
