Brandon and I got out and did some clean up in our neglected garden last weekend. We can count on our self-sown sunflowers to stand up and be pretty each year with little assistance.
Similarly colored and low maintenance are these black-eyed susans (Rudbeckia sp.)
Mountain mint has lovely silver bracts.
Elephant ears, Guara and Chyrsanthemum pacificum.
Horned poppy (Glaucium corniculatum) leaves are pretty without any flowers.
A polka-dot plant sowed itself into a pot where I was growing purple oxalis. Emilia is still looking pretty next to a mixture of sedums. 'Delighting Glow' dahlia is indeed delightful.
