Ug. I hate to reveal my ugly garden after a long hot summer. But what is the point of pretending that it's always beautiful when it ain't? I readily admit I'm far too lazy to get out there in a 3-4 month period of 100 degree heat to clean up, edge and replant. It's all I can do to water.
I've been thinking quite a bit about this post by Amy Stewart on Garden Rant and wondering which plants could possibly survive NO water in a Texas summer. Or a once a month watering, perhaps?
I'm going to slowly work toward that goal, but I must curb my crazed spring-planting-everything-I-fall-in-love-with and maybe actually plan my garden. For now, clean up and evaluate.

After last year I'm surprised anything's alive. You've really made that yard come alive though.
